In Their Own Words… Paul Erchen and his wife Lois live on a farm about 10 miles south of Hendricks. Paul was the very first patient to have surgery in the new operating room at Hendricks Community Hospital. Then in June of this year, Paul had hip surgery and on August 29th he had shoulder surgery. Dr Kalo performed both of these surgeries. “Dr. Kalo is a great physician. It is really nice to be able to have diagnostic tests such as MRIs and X-Rays and also follow-up appointments with Dr. Kalo available right here in Hendricks.  My wife and I know so many people at the facility and everyone is so good to us,” Paul stated.  “Dr. Parr and Dr. McCluskey were great when it came to referring me on to Dr. Kalo.
