Home Care
Often the best place to recover following a surgical procedure, injury or illness is in the comfort of your very own home. Hendricks Community Hospital Home Care provides high quality care individualized to meet each person’s needs by trained staff coming right to your door. The care you or your loved one receives is ordered by your medical provider and coordinated with a member of the home care team along with the patient to ensure all needs are met and a safe transition back home is made. Hendricks Home Care also provides services to individuals that need ongoing assistance with personal cares and housekeeping in their home to support independent living.
How Can Home Care Begin?
A referral to the home care agency is usually made by your medical provider or social worker but can be made by a family member, neighbor, concerned community member or by yourself! Once the referral is received by a member of the home care agency, contact is made to set up a convenient date and time to meet with you, and a family member if desired, in your home. We discuss what your needs are and how we best can meet them and develop a plan of care that is individualized for you.
Payment for Home Care Services
Payment for home care may be available through your health insurance, whether it is a private insurance, Medicare or Medical Assistance. It can also be paid by funding through social services, VA benefits, long term care insurance or paying privately for services received.
